A
Year In Review
Well its been over a year since The Ectoplasmic Archives last update, and looking back upon the last years events its much needed. Time may seem to fly for some or drag on like 3 flats out of 4 for others. Many looking back this year may be asking themselves is the community falling apart at the seems or uniting itself to become even stronger than before? Unfortunately I cannot answer that question but can weigh out the past 12 months events in hopes of a rough estimate. There are a few days here many will not forget. Where would one possibly start? First thing that comes to many peoples minds is the loss of Ghostbusters.net and the Ghostbusters message board on 2 occasions. Once of vague reasons and the Unfortunate next with a severe HDD failure on Chads CPU. Once one of the Greatest sites of all time After all time lost many people started asking questions and not receiving any answers, one came. The original GBMB is gone. For now as rumored. People have Left, Changed names and came. The new hot spot on the net for all of your Ghostbusting needs is the one and only GBHQ. Packed with media, Info and the unforgettable Inter dimensional Crossrip. Troy (netsolo) has done a fantastic job weaving a near perfect web for the community to post on. Well moderated and enjoyed by all.
Ive also easily learned that not all people in ones life are meant to like, love or even tolerate each other. Im referring to Bo Holbrook. Everyone has their own opinions upon Bo and some of the NS crew. But as I Personally sit now looking at my status with some of the NightSquad crew I talked with Bo one day and learned Just because one exists doesn't mean that he or she will get along with the same crowd. They may be a hardasses but gets to the point. And that should be respected weather you mix with the NS crew or not.
Looking back at some old links i had some things never change, CaptianN's The Grid still is a Hard Hitting fan site that one will never be disappointed in adding to their bookmarked pages. And its sad to see "The Old Firehouse" as outdated as ECTO-135 was at one point in time. I honestly consider it one of the greatest community related sites ever established. Speaking of well established sites - Step aside Peter Mosen! Sean Bishops (Venkman71) site, Ghostbusters project proves what propping is all about. Now owning not one but two 1959 Cadillac Ambulances (one already an Ectomobile) and over eight fully Physical & cosmetic operational Proton Packs with enough Traps and goodies to fill a dump truck I can honestly classify him as the New "King of Ghostbusters". To top it he also has a kickin Message board with many high end proppers.
While were upon the subject of propping in general AJ's (ECTOMAN) GBProps.com is unfortunately Archived for the time being, but dont stray away! He has the most detailed Ghostbusters Prop related site on the net! Absolutely Unbelievable in content and information. So if your in the process of Making any Ghostbusters Prop Stop pausing your DVD player for screen shots for prop or modeling detail. In specification of members in total if you need to find anything Ghostbusters Related talk to Chuck (River Of Slime). The man whos quest is to save the original Ecto-1A in Universal Studios Florida, not to mention his excellent internet sweeping skills. Now called (I think i started this one) "The Human Search Engine".
Can you say "Fan Films"? Wow. Justin Daering, Hank Braxtan, Brad Redfeild and more are just flooring the Ghostbusters community with hardcore films. In particular the awaited Freddy vs Ghostbusters flick by Braxtanfilms. Daering an aspiring Film student in the upper mid east US not only provides a few laughs and FX but more than just Ghostbusters. Natural Films gives ya a little taste of what Ghostbusters 3 Could look like. Braxtan may be an army man but looks like he'd rather carry a particle thrower than a rifle. A larger than life scale production of the return of Ghostbusters. A Third Serial? Not really, more of a Hilarious "Hand me down". Watch the trailer, disappointment will be last thing you'll experience watching it..
Tons of Brand Spankin' new Ghostbusters products have hit the shelves lately, including the past released Ghostbusters Diorama, 88mph Comics much awaited Ghostbusters series and the Un-Real 1:18 scale Die cast ECTO-1. Buy it now! As for myself, times changed. Gotta go with the flow or your outta the river. Ones life doesn't revolve around humor. It just occasionally collides with it now and then. Ive decided to take it easy within the community for a while. But Update my sites more often (as suggested by many).

The New Age
Welcome to the 1 year anniversary of The Ectoplasmic Archive. Things are heating up at 88mph Studios. Welcome to The New Age of Ghostbusting. The Ghostbusters are back, in comic form. Avoiding the retro look from the original comics based upon the most confusing decade of the century and swinging towards the look of the Ghostbusters serials in full force, and then some. For more on the comic click HERE. Now then, I Must rant about some new sites that have hit my screen recently. Ghostbusters World, can you say Complete face lift? Ecto1984 has created one of the most appealing, user friendly, simple & fun sites that I have ever visited. well worth a look HERE. And talk about a good punch in the face, GBHQ's stunning new interface, speedy loading time, media and news makes it a spinning top upon the Ghostbusters community.
