Is it Too much?

Well i guess word travels fast around the GB community here at GBN. Melanies most current & first internet related project has somewhat come to a stand-still. After creating a nice amateur webpage of "Fans as they are and as they please" calendar related site chad, webmaster of Ghostbusters.net has made the decision of it being Too racey (raunchy, revealing, hard-hitting) for his site. At first I completely disagreed with this particular decision but after an hour or 2 I started to see where he was comming from. This subject is treading on thin ice in a few ways. You wouldnt see anything there that you wouldnt at your local beach or a suntan commercial that are aired on local television stations (all rated PG programming). And even though GBN is a FAMILY site, the fact remains... all fans there are over 14 years of age. Lets face it guys. Ghostbustin' isnt dead, just old. Do you see an 11yr old listening to a 70's rock station? I didnt think so. Im willing to bet that over 99.9% of GBN's total audience is 14,15+. But even with the older audience some moral values differ from others (RedHeadBree ...damn right Im gonna name names!). But then again out of the 6000+ members that registered only 1 had a problem. Like I said, thin ice and a thin line between love & hate. So far All Ive seen is Love for the game. Mood slime. With over 320 hits to the site in less than 3 days of its opening it is one of the most successful new pages in GBN/GBcentral. Too rack up on the positive side, Zack & "The Voice of Reason" have both replied with lengthy responses of nothing but good attitudes. Which is suprising to say the least! As Melanie was out of town recently I talked to her on the phone. "I said this on the board twice already but here goes, The point of this project is to bring something new and fresh to Ghostbusters. Its not nessicarily getting old or stale, its just that when I signed up it had all been done before. Im a 100% women and Im willing to bet that there girls just like me on that site too. It was time to shake things up - Alot. My first idea was a strictly female calendar, but then came along redheadbree. Things immediately came clear to me that if i wanted my site to succeed it had to target both audiences with males as well. I did so. With the completion of it (Being July) last night I received the worst news a first-timer could ever get. The biggest links section for Ghostbusters on the internet would not allow my page because it was apparently too racey. I was Very upset and didnt know what to do. It was hard for me to accept. But my fiance soon reminded me that Nothing ever means the end. Because of where I came from and how I was raised it had always been Girl Power, ergo so had been everything that I had ever done from cooking to working to now websites. Im not a feminist, I just appreciate the female race and love to show it. Either way now I have alot of much needed support & love from alot of people there. I just hope that continues" -Melanie So now I guess its up to the influence for the community to spread her website about or not. Lets hope you do.

HEADS UP!

As mentioned on the main page it has been quite some time since the Ectoplasmic Archive has been updated so shall we catch up? Well Bobby J's work with lil Romeo has the community at a stand still with FX outta this world. Red Ketchup has hit yet another new high with over 2000 replies to the new comic ideas. The New Grid is out kicking some Ectoplasm with its dead on design on overall features. The community is starting to look a heck of alot like a couples dorm! Several Engaged & live-in couples are posting like crazy with new insights and ideas rocking the boards. last, but NOT least is Melanie's Ghostbusters fandom calendar. "Ghostbusters Monthly" is its name with pics of all your Favorite fans as they are & please. hopes for success are within my best wishes on her First project of this type. Until the next update, im gone.
