The Lowest of the Low

Usally I rave about websites, the hard work put into them and such... but this go around things are different. Robert, a member of Ghostbusters.net has taken it upon himself to steal several pieces of Ghostbusting web related history. Since the beginning ECTO-135 always had the Ecto-1 Animations on the main menus, this man had taken it upon himself the easy way out of creating a website. "Robbing" others. To be honest I dont think that this man even tried. Its cluttered, un-original and resembles an Extremely annoying screen saver. To date, this is The Worst site Ive ever seen on the Internet in total. You should Email him HERE and tell him what you think about him wasting his time in media theft. Worth The Wait...

Not everyone has a High speed connection, but Real Media servers cost a decent amount of money. So weather you have a 28, 56 or 40 something Kb/Sec modem or the ultimate high speed its worth the over night download wait for this baby. TheDarkGuardian Has created a music vid' that's been Way overdue for quite some time now. Partially following the foot steps of The Bronx Ghostbuster using nothin but RGB self contained with a new tune the result is nothing short of amazing. Blink 182's Aliens Exist was a perfect match for this short with the more popular spooks and demons The Real Ghostbusters encountered throughout the years from 1986. If anything, this was a complete Suprise Attack upon the community. I've never talked to the hero who created this masterpiece - But I soon will. It was a pleasure viewing this short. I, We all hope for more in the future!

15 Minutes of Fame

Well some could say that its over, others could say that its also a celebration of a new beginning. GBFans is sadly leaving us all soon, logins are no longer valid, message boards are a Ghost town. A discreet "good-bye" is all she needs perhaps. As a wise man once posted:
"Well gang, I have some somewhat bad news- but in an essence it's all for the best. GBFans was a good site, before people found out that a webmaster was trying to hurt GBN. I've talked to Chad about it, and we've kept coming to the same conclusion, the only way to remedy this entire thing would be to close the site. I know many of you have Fan art and some investment into the site, but don't worry, I'm saving all the fan art and I'm going to forward it to river_of_slime for his web site.

The reasons its being closed, well you guys all know that GBFans and GBN were at ends for a while, I personally didn't see any reason for competition, but other ghostheads were under that impression. Others also used GBFans as a way to "get back" at GBN, which was making the site less popular by the minute. I for one just wanted a MASSIVE fan art site, as everyone who knows me knows. That's one reason, and another one was that AJ was so mad he was hurting GBFans by not participating in GBN, which just made the site look even worse, so it was slowly sinking down and what's the point of having a site where no one visits.

Those are the 2 MAIN reasons why it's being shut down, there are other reasons, but I'm gonna keep them to myself out of respect for the parties involved.

I do have some good news though. The end of GBfans doesn't mean anything to the people who enjoyed it though. Chad has just asked me to join his staff for a brand new Fan Movies section, which I'm working on! I have a few tutorials for special effects, I have a number of footage clips in high quality you could use in your fan films as well as CD quality sound bytes for you guys. I'm going to be the HEAD of that section, which means I'm gonna run and maintain it. Which is better for all of us, we don't have to log in to multiple sites to get the point across.

So really nothing is gonna get lost in the process, just moved around. It's better this way, and it'll cause less problems between people who hated GBN, and people who hated GBFans- which there shouldn't have been.

Just stay tuned for 2.0 because it's gonna get even more interesting.

So it cant all be that bad can it? But all things considered, in my mind it was tops, and I had hoped that it would stay that way. But if you're gonna go out, go out in style.

Run Bobby Run!

GhostbustersFans have done it again, Run Dmc & New Editions Bobby Brown are back! Few have seen or vaguely remember there Ghostbusters 2 Videos, well If you don't have RealPlayer already here's a good excuse to download it today! GhostbustersFans.com has both Videos available for viewing Via-Real Media. Excellent quality and  pure enjoyment awaits you. How did they get them? mIRC? Kazaa? Who knows, Who cares! A long awaited event has hit the community giving everyone a lil' Ghost Fever. These guys are just amazing, we all owe them a Great thanks for throwing these beauties our way. Thanks Bobby J & Ectoman, You've done it again.

Changing Lanes

Well its that time again, me and my fiancé have recently moved into another home about triple the size of our last place of living. With this horrible event comes the ever so famous phrase: "Its a bit of  a Fixer-Upper", with those words in mind I apologize for the extreme lack of updates on The Ectoplasmic Archive. But our ordered drapes come in on friday and other little tidbits here and there in a week or so. As Ray said: "Only $4800" as Peter looks at the old Ambulance in disgust. Well I would've done the same a week ago myself. But after a little plumbing, wiring, Drywall & paint things are looking ALOT better. The kitchen is almost completely remodeled minus the green counter tops and some bathroom tile work. Painting will come in the early spring, etc... but down to business. MICR is hitting the community harder than a ball pein hammer with its variety of Ectoplasmic related cartoons, Zacks music site is tops out and about the Entire community. Screw the films scores when someone is willing to share the finest MIDI talent that I've ever heard. And a hit halloween contest hosted by chad of signature images has everyone in an uproar. Speaking of stirring up the GB community... What if? A question with a million different endings and answers. The GB Bro's Movie Comic Series: will answer the big one. What if the Real Ghostbusters starred in there own 1984 hit film Ghostbusters? Filled with fantastic conceptual drawings, story boards & scripting. Top ten material to say the least. take it slow all, smell the roses and for god sakes move somewhere where you can enjoy yourselfs for over 10 years! lol
